    Description

    From what I have read, when one went into the temple to pray you were given a piece of gold. You would then rub it on a wooden figurine of a praying monk. The amount of gold on these carvings depict the age. This particular monk has quite a bit of gold gilt on him. There are tiny pieces of glass or mirror adorning his robe. He sits 10” tall x 7” wide x 7” deep. He weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces.
