This 2003 Fayzah Spanos "Irresistibly Sweet" doll. She is #115 out of a limited edition of only 300 dolls that were made! Original artist's studio editions made of vinyl, 26" tall, black curly hair, blue eyes. Dressed in a white and lavender dress accented in colors of pink, white, lavender and yellow with lavender satin pantaloons, lavender cupcake with a big cherry, and a bracelet of sweet goodies. Everything in the photos shown below (doll, clothing, gold hand tag, accessories, certification of authenticity, original box and packing) will be included.
Doll artist Fayzah Spanos was born on the Greek Island of Kalymnos and came to the USA when she was eleven years old. She first became interested in crafts after she married. One day, FayZah encountered a collection of antique dolls at an estate sale which led to an interest in restoring old dolls. After her son's birth, FayZah was inspired to sculpt her first doll in his image and her fabulous career was born. In the 1980's Fayzah Spanos took a course in doll making, studied sculpting and mold making and
created an award-winning doll based on her son Theodore. Quality is a hallmark of all of FayZah's creations, capturing remarkable expressiveness through her awe-inspiring, true-to-life sculptures inspired by babies and children she knows. Her vinyl works of art are hand-crafted in the USA. Limited editions are numbered and signed as they are each lovingly produced. FayZah's signature is your evidence of ownership in a very personal work of art and craftsmanship.
