  • Condition: Please see photos. The saucers are all out of shape to various degrees. The metal can be easily bent by hand. Likely high lead content. The etching is better on some pieces than others. Very dusty/dirty but I didnt want to clean them as I am unsure of the best way.

    Description

    An unusual example of Japanese carving.
    The cup is carved with a precise classic geometric design.
    It has a bit of a primitive feel
    I have been unable to find another example that is similar.
    I believe it is quite old but I have been unable to date them with any certainty.
    Belonged to a WWII vet who served in the 101 Screaming Eagles and attended specialist school in Japan after the war.
    There were several pieces in his collection listed separately.
