Cooper Legends Ice Hockey Goaltending Legpads Size 34" : MADE IN CANADA VINTAGE.
I am the original owner of these pads. They are only my 2nd pair I ever bought for play, most likely in '94 or '95. I am hesitant to sell them for nostalgic reasons but I'm not using them, do not like storing (no room), and would rather sell them to someone who loves vintage gear or would use them.
Some history and facts from my ownership:
Used primarily (for about 1-2 seasons consistently) when I was in High School after I outgrew my Vaughn Legacy's. After that I would periodically use them for men's league a handful of games a year on the weekends. I did not play consistently for a college team.
After college, they were stored with my other gear in a temperature controlled, dry (not a moldy basement etc.) for about 12 years.
I started playing again in 2019 or 2020. I used these pads 2 times at stick & puck/drop in before deciding to upgrade all of my gear to the new specs and style (foam/poly pads). (**What a pain the new pads were at first.)
Toe straps were upgraded to toe ties. Can be converted back if you get the buckle's straps.
2 white leather straps were replaced with 2 black leather straps back in HS.
See photo for general wear on straps. -Still all functional and strong. Outer paint coating flaking off from age since they are originals.
Stored/used in a smoke free clean environment for the entire time of ownership/use.
Aired out/dried after every use. I took care of all my gear.
All known wear shown in photos. Inside black leather wear (pic 4) can be easily fixed with replacement leather or padskin. I actually bought both to do myself at some point but never did.
