    Description

This is a set of three (3) vintage newspaper pages from the New York Semi-Weekly Times, January 19, January 26, and March 9, 1875, with large articles about the disputed election in Louisiana where the federal government had to step in and negotiate the winners and the losers for the governor and state legislature. This would later become to be known as the Wheeler Adjustment, or Wheeler Compromise (after New York Congressman William Wheeler).
These pages are vintage and tanning and should be handled with care. All vintage historical newspapers will be shipped in plastic sleeves with sturdy cardboard backing and protection.
